Traditional aerification recovery methods use a lot of nitrogen to push growth in all directions, which creates “Leggy” or “Fuzzy” greens that do not putt true.
With the following combination before and after aerification, putting greens will stay uniform for putting playability and heal-in faster.
Step 1
Make more proteins and enzymes
TRUE PLANT HEALTH™ is about converting sunlight to proteins in finely mowed turf, to be used for either structure or defense. The more proteins that are stored, the more they can be used for structure in growing rhizomes and stolons, resulting in greens that are able to heal-in faster from aerification practices.
Step 2
Use proteins for structure
Heal-in speeds for the greens will be determined by how many PR-1 proteins are in its supply as well as the amount of specific phytohormone ratios with nutrients, which the plant must have to trigger lateral growth.
The traditional practice of flooding the system with excessive nitrogen can be slower due to low spring temperatures that do not support the swift conversion of nitrogen to ammonium and nitrate forms in soil. And when the flush of nitrogen is released, the plant must pull from its root reserves and jeopardize stored carbs, amino acids and proteins to push topical growth.
